I lived close to Clear Lake, Minnesota as a child but I consider a nearby small town, called Palmer, my home town. My parents ran the only bar and restaurant there and I grew up meeting and observing a variety of interesting people. I always wanted to marry someone a little on the unpredictable side and achieved that goal when I married the love of my life, Richard Lovitz, in 1982. We lived in Sauk Rapids for 33 years and then moved to Lake George, Minnesota, where we currently reside.
I love to write, but also enjoy snow shoeing, ice fishing, gardening and have been known to dabble in a little wine making. My husband and I have a daughter, Katie, who lives in southern Minnesota with her husband Brad. We are proud that she has chosen a career path dedicated to helping those around her. Our son Kevin, who made an impact on everyone around him, passed away in 2008 from Muscular Dystrophy.
I’m a member of Romance Writers of America. I’ve have articles printed in the St. Cloud Times and poetry printed in the St. Cloud Unabridged newspapers. I have also won several contests involving slogans. I have finished my first book: SOWING NORTHERN FIELDS and I’m working on the sequel HARVESTING A DREAM. It has always been a dream of mine to write romance novels and I’m finally on a journey to make that a reality.
